1756 – William Godwin
1937 – Tomas Milian
1938 – Bruno Bozzetto
1953 – Arthur Antunes Coimbra detto Zico
1958 – Gianni Alemanno

Almanac of the day: 3rd March

1426 – The Republic of Venice declares war to Milan
1936 – Young Joseph Ratzinger (Benedict XVI) receives his First Communion in Germany
1955 – Elvis Presley appears for the first time on TV
1969 – NASA launches the Apollo 9 to test the lunar module
1972 – NASA launches the space probe Pioneer 10
2001 – The first Autistici/Inventati server (“paranoia”) is installed
2007 – In Italy, around 00:30 a.m., there is a total lunar eclipse

Births:

1756 – William Godwin
1937 – Tomas Milian
1938 – Bruno Bozzetto
1953 – Arthur Antunes Coimbra, better known as Zico
1958 – Gianni Alemanno

Besides the obvious celebration of Mr. Alemanno, the excellent former fascist who is currently mayor of Rome (happy birthday, and good luck!), we would like to recall your attention to the fact that NASA launched two space crafts on the 3rd of March, making this day a critical date in the process of projecting mankind beyond the earthly boundaries. Today is also the anniversary of the first host on good Ratzi’s tongue (followed by a much greater host of curses), not to talk about the first TV show featuring comrade Elvis Presley, who, as we all know, is still alive and fighting with us.
We could skip Zico because we are not from Brazil, but we are obliged to pay homage to Bruno Bozzetto and his cartoons and to the unforgettable Milian, featuring in so many Italo-crime movies, and we cannot forget William Godwin, who is considered the first anarchist philosopher (and transferred his genes to the lady who created the modern prometheus).

One last cabalistic note: 3-3-11 (please note that 3 is written as 11 in the binary system). 3 is the perfect number: 3 times 3 is the absolute perfection.

According to the Napolitan “kabalah” or book of numbers (used to translate the images of our nightly dreams into winning lotto numbers), 3 is the number of the cat, therefore we would finally like to remind you, in case you forgot it, to double check that you have set up the “cat question”, necessary to recover your mail password in the servers of Autistici/Inventati, which by the way today turns 10 years old.
