Wie bereits berichtet, hat die Stadtbau AG bereits Ende März 2025 eine erste Bauvoranfrage gestellt. Diese Anfrage hat die Stadt Mitte Juni positiv beschieden. Dieser Bescheid bedeutet noch nicht, dass die Stadtbau AG auf der Fläche bauen darf, denn noch fehlt unter anderem ein schlüssiges Verkehrskonzept. Außerdem liegt auf der Fläche ein Aufstellungsbeschluss für einen Bebauungsplan. Zu jenem waren 355 Stellungnahmen beim Stadtplanungsamt eingegangen, deren Bearbeitung noch aussteht.
