Secondo diverse associazioni di difesa dei prigionieri palestinesi, il numero di prigionieri palestinesi detenuti nelle carceri dell’occupazione all’inizio di luglio 2025 ammonta a circa 10.800. Questo dato rappresenta il numero più alto di prigionieri, dall’Intifada di Al-Aqsa nel 2000. Tra loro ci sono 50 donne, di cui due gazawi; più di 450 bambini; 3.629 detenuti amministrativi; 2.454 detenuti classificati come “combattenti illegali”.
