This is the focus of our new youth participation project „Whose streets? Our streets! Questioning advertising and access to public space.“ We are organizing it together with the Paris-based organization „Résistance à l’Agression Publicitaire (RAP). Zusammen mit gemeinsam stark e.V., DIDF und einigen anderen haben wir gestern zu einer Kundgebung auf dem Hugenottenplatz gegen imperialistische Kriege aufgerufen. Circa 60 Menschen folgen dem spontanen Aufruf und gingen gegen Krieg und Genozid auf die Straße. Auch wir beteiligten uns, unter anderem mit einem Redebeitrag an der Kundgebung, in dem wir besonders betonten, dass alle Kämpfe international zusammen gedacht und gemeinsam geführt werden müssen. Hierbei gingen wir noch besonders auf die Gedenkveranstaltung für Azad Serges und den kurdischen Kampf im Generellen, die Bewegung der Zapatistas in Mexiko und auf den Genozid in Palästina ein.
Wer an die Zukunft denkt, bekommt es schnell mit der Angst zu tun. Rechtsextremismus breitet sich aus, rassistische Abschottungspolitik nimmt zu und der Klimawandel verschärft sich. Wie sollen wir angesichts der Weltsituation nur einen Funken Hoffnung auf ein gutes Leben für alle behalten? Weil wir als Linke so sehr mit Abwehrkämpfen gegen Rechts beschäftigt sind, haben wir kaum Zeit, über unsere Vorstellung von einem besseren Leben und mögliche Wege dorthin nachzudenken.
