Etwa 50 Demonstrant:innen versammelten sich am heutigen Nachmittag (08.11.2024) auf dem Asmus-Bremer-Platz zu einer Kundgebung gegen die Absetzung gewählter Bürgermeister:innen der linken DEM-Partei in verschiedenen Städten Nordkurdistans. Die betroffenen kurdischen Politiker:innen wurden in der vergangenen Woche unter dem Vorwurf einer angeblichen Nähe zum „Terrorismus“ aus ihren Ämtern gedrängt. Die Städte wurden stattdessen unter türkische Zwangsverwaltung gestellt.
