Τους τελευταίους μήνες του 2019, μετά και την καλοκαιρινή αλλαγή πολιτικής διαχείρισης, το κράτος είχε εξαπολύσει μια νέα κατασταλτική εκστρατεία απέναντι στις δομές του κινήματος και στα αυτοοργανωμένα εγχειρήματα. Οι τελευταίες εκκενώσεις διαδραματίστηκαν, μετά το τέλος του περιβόητου τελεσιγράφου για οικειοθελή αποχώρηση εντός 15ήμερου, στην γειτονιά του Αμαρουσίου με την εκκένωση της κατάληψης Έπαυλης Κουβέλου αλλά και στη γειτονιά του Κουκακίου, όπου εκκενώθηκαν τρείς καταλήψεις της Κοινότητας Καταλήψεων Κουκακίου.
