On April 22nd, we freed a horse that was chained in a field in Nikisiani, Kavala. We led the horse away from the place where it was confined and left it on the mountain, hoping that it would gallop independently towards freedom. While traveling through the countryside, we saw something we already knew. That many animals live confined behind barbed wire, in cages or tied up in the yards of houses and fields. From sheep, goats, cows, chickens, dogs, horses, donkeys, and even deer.
