Denn Den Haag ist Sitz der Europäischen Justiz (Eurojust), des Internationalen Strafgerichtshofs (IstGH) und vieler internationaler Rechtsbehörden. Das ist kein Zufall: 1899 und 1907 fanden hier im Friedenspalast die ersten u.a. von Bertha von Suttner angeregten modernen Friedenskonferenzen statt, die in die „Haager Landkriegsordnung“ mündeten. Später waren in Den Haag die Gerichtshöfe des Völkerbundes ansässig. Und das wollen wir uns mal anschauen!
