Στην Ευελπίδων παρευρέθηκαν οι μπάτσοι- μάρτυρες κατηγορίας και η δικηγόρος τους, υποψήφια βουλευτής της ΝΔ, Εβίτα Βαρελά. Η παρουσία δικηγόρου των αστυνομικών μαρτύρων κατηγορίας υπογραμμίζει την πολιτική επαγρύπνιση και καθοδήγηση της υπόθεσης από τον κρατικό μηχανισμό. Λόγω απεργίας των δικαστικών υπαλλήλων η έδρα αποφάσισε την εκδίκαση 3 μόνο υποθέσεων που προορίζονταν για παραγραφή και ανέβαλε όλες τις υπόλοιπες.
