Der 18. März ist der Kampftag für die Freiheit aller politischen Gefangenen. Wir als Rote Hilfe e. V. veröffentlichen seit 1998 unsere Sonderzeitung, um auf die Situation der vielen politischen Gefangenen aufmerksam zu machen. Außerdem gibt es bundesweit zahlreiche Veranstaltungen rund um den 18. März. Wie jedes Jahr bringt die Rote Hilfe e. V. auch 2026 eine Massenzeitung heraus, die im März sechs linken Tages-, Wochen- und Monatszeitungen beiliegt und zusätzlich bei Demonstrationen und Veranstaltungen verteilt wird.
