A look at the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police monthly dashboard reveals that the department is on track to arrest over twice as many people in 2025 as in 2024. In our newly published study, we examined whether sentencing outcomes differ between Māori and New Zealand Europeans charged with nearly identical offences. We focused on first-time drink-driving cases, using alcohol readings as an objective, standardised measure of offence severity. Nejvyšší rada Ukrajiny pozastavila projednávání návrhu zákona č. 13673 ze dne 21. srpna 2025, který stanovil trestní odpovědnost pro muže ve věku 18–60 let za překročení hranice během válečného stavu a za nevrácení se na Ukrajinu do 90 dnů. Návrh také předpokládal: předání příslušnosti k projednávání těchto případů Bezpečnostní službě Ukrajiny; možnost projednání obvinění v nepřítomnosti; rozšíření trestní odpovědnosti na občany žijící v zemích Evropské unie.
