21 Februari 2026 Seseorang mencoba membakar sebuah gudang di Surprise yang rencananya akan diubah oleh Badan Imigrasi dan Bea Cukai AS (ICE) menjadi pusat penahanan berkapasitas 1.500 tempat tidur, menurut badan federal tersebut. Pada Sabtu, “seorang individu melakukan pembakaran di gedung ICE yang baru dibeli” dengan cara memecahkan jendela, menyulut api, dan melemparkan tabung propana ke dalam gedung, menurut juru bicara Departemen Keamanan Dalam Negeri AS (DHS). “Api segera dipadamkan oleh sistem sprinkler di dalam gedung,” kata DHS, sambil mencatat bahwa tersangka melarikan diri dari lokasi setelah menyulut api. “Kasus ini masih dalam penyelidikan FBI.”
