Την Τετάρτη 22 Απριλίου εντοπίστηκε νεκρή η 43χρονη Ελευθερία Γιακουμάκη, τα ίχνη της οποίας είχαν χαθεί από την Κυριακή 19 Απριλίου από τις Δαφνές Ηρακλείου. Ο 40χρονος πρώην σύντροφος της δολοφόνησε την Ελευθερία με πυροβόλο όπλο προκαλώντας τραύμα στον κρόταφο και ύστερα την εγκατέλειψε μέσα στο αυτοκίνητο της σε ένα χωράφι.
